Band Profiles

Dan Patlansky
In only ten years on the music scene, Dan Patlansky is one of the busiest and most respected blues artists to ever come out of South Africa.
Constant touring as a teenager, won Dan the hearts of even the most hardened blues critics. In the winter of 2001, “Standing at the Station” was released, being a completely independent album, many were surprised at its amazing success.
Natasha Meister
Singer/songwriter, Natasha Meister has become our very own Blues Queen in the 2 short years since returning from Canada to her ancestral home in Africa.
At only 20, she has made a huge impact on discerning SA audiences, especially in the blues/funk niche. Natasha has a great bluesey, Motown voice, plays phenomenal electric and acoustic guitar and is a gifted songwriter.
Soon after her arrival in Cape town she attracted the attention of veteran songwriter Tim Parr, who gave her some initial introductions and opportunities. It didn’t take long for offers from the Cape’s best musos to flow and soon the Natasha Meister Band was formed with drummer Paul Tizzard and Roger Bashew on bass. This trio is currently SA’s hottest blues property.
