Masisizane helped revamp a manufacturer of timber doors and window frames based in Stutterheim called WP Timber Products earlier in the year.

On Friday 8 July, Masisizane and one of its clients in the Eastern Cape, Thabo Sikukula, owner of WP Timber Products in Stutterheim launched the revamped business with great success. Kokstad – Providing access to resources, support and land is key to enabling emerging farmers to weather the worst drought in decades.
This was made evident when about a hundred small-scale farmers in rural KwaZulu-Natal and the Eastern Cape met recently to jointly find solutions to the issues confronting them. The meeting was hosted by Old Mutual’s Masisizane Fund, which provides loan finance and development support for small to medium enterprises.

The Masisizane Fund was recognized as a pioneer in the promotion of small businesses at the 2015 Forging Enterprises Conference. A certificate of merit in the category of Women’s Business Development was awarded to the fund. Masisizane CEO Simpiwe Somdyala accepted the award, along with that of a certificate in recognition of the work done in the category of micro finance by the Small Enterprise Foundation.

Mrs Sakhile Naanyane has successfully managed her own business, Kelebogile Catering CC over the past 12 years, providing catering services to government and private companies in Limpopo.
