Mi Casa bring their soulful sound back to the Old Mutual Music at the Lake stage

What better way to ease into Spring than to head outdoors and enjoy local musos pouring out their beats, as you lounge on the lawn and sip a glass of wine in the beautiful Durban Botanical Gardens.

Back by popular demand, Mi Casa returns to the Old Mutual Music at the Lake stage following a successful international tour. The award-winning band will be performing alongside KwaZulu-Natal duo, Easy Freak on Sunday, 11 September 2016.

Mi Casa is made up of three talented South Africans, Dr Duda (DJ and producer), J-Something (vocals and guitar) and Mo-T (trumpeter), who combine their explosive talent to create a unique and original sound.  Their songs give life to a soulful blend of vocals, guitar, keys and trumpet. Audiences can look forward to hearing old favourites such as ‘These Streets’ and ‘Heavenly Sent’ as well as new tracks like Chocolat.

Easy Freak is a new electronic Durban based band, consisting of Dominic Hurd and Jude Kenrick. Their sound is an infectious and eclectic mix of pop, electro, funk, soul that is sure to get you moving..

The duo have shared the stage with the likes of Wolfpack, Sketchy Bongo, Veranda Panda, Gangs of Ballet, Majozi and MaShew Mole.

Old Mutual sponsorship manager Bandile Mngoma points out, “We are looking forward to Micasa bringing their trademark energy and passion to the Durban Botanical Gardens. We are inspired by people who do great things and Mi Casa is known as one of the country’s most professional and electrifying live performers and together with Easy Freak, we can be assured of an afternoon full of entertainment”
